🎶 Earlier this month marked a special moment for the Golden Leopard Band — the ceremonial passing of the baton! 🐆❤️
After an incredible career at Liberty, Mr. Summers is officially retiring. We thank him for his years of passion, leadership, and dedication to our band family. 🎺🥁
As we celebrate his legacy, we also welcome a new era! Please join us in giving a warm Liberty welcome to our new band director, Ms. Sandy!
We’re excited to see her build on the success of the Golden Leopard Band and continue leading it to new heights. 🎉🎵

Power has been restored in the district. We do not anticipate any further issues.

The district is currently experiencing a power outage due to a squirrel getting into a transformer outside of the building. All staff and students are safe and can remain in school. Maintenance on the transformer will begin within the hour.

Two Students Awarded Prestigious $10,000 DeBartolo Scholarship
Congratulations to Sara Horn and Jaylee Laster on being named recipients of the esteemed $10,000 Edward J. DeBartolo Scholarship!
The Edward J. DeBartolo Scholarship Foundation was established in 1998 by Edward J. DeBartolo, Jr. and Denise DeBartolo York in honor of their father, Edward J. DeBartolo, Sr. A visionary real estate developer and entrepreneur, Mr. DeBartolo was widely known as the father of the American shopping mall. In 1977, he purchased the San Francisco 49ers—an organization that remains under the leadership of the DeBartolo and York family today.
The foundation’s mission is to support students in the Mahoning Valley who have demonstrated a strong work ethic, a commitment to their community, and the determination to overcome adversity. Edward J. DeBartolo, Sr. believed that all students—regardless of their financial background—should have the opportunity to pursue higher education if they have the drive and dedication to succeed.
After graduation, Sara plans to pursue a degree in education, and Jaylee will be studying to become a dental hygienist.
Sara, Jaylee, and fellow scholarship recipients were recognized at a special luncheon on Monday in celebration of their achievements.
