Black History Month
Students in Miss Takash and Mrs. Poudevigne’s fourth-grade homerooms sat down with Superintendent Brian Knight to ask tough questions about school lunches, cell phones, start times, and uniforms. This conversation stemmed from their recent project on argumentative writing, where students learned to research, form opinions, and craft persuasive essays on real-world school topics.

Last week, our 5th graders amazed us with a cross-curricular project combining math and science. They created box replicas of animals, calculated their volumes, and researched fun facts and habitats to display on showboards. On Friday, January 24, the elementary building visited the 5th Grade Volume Zoo to explore their work. The 5th graders confidently presented their projects and shared everything they had learned with younger students.
