Last night, our security cameras captured a quick image of this furry guy running around the district office. It's not the best photo, but it's something. He seems very friendly and a BIG supporter of Liberty, but he's also a little mischievous. He left a note in my office that said, "It's going to be a great school year! I will see you all soon...Go Leopards!" Updates forthcoming.

On Thursday, August 14, our district will transition to our new phone system. There may be limited interruptions between 1:00 and 2:00 as we complete the process.
Day: Tuesday, August 19. Doors open at 4:00 for Kindergarten families. There will be a special, Kindergarten-only meeting in the Commons Library from 4:30-5:00. The Kindergarten-2nd Grade Open House hour is from 5:00-6:00. The 3rd-6th Grade Open House hour is from 6:00-7:00. We will be giving away goodies in our Cafeteria, too! We can't wait to see everyone there to welcome you to another great school year!
Liberty is seeking youth basketball coaches for our girls' and boys' teams, serving 3rd through 6th grade.
Volunteer coaches are amazing assets to our school community. Volunteer coaches can be parents, caregivers, or community members. Coaches for grades 3rd and 4th are expected to hold at least one one-hour practice per week (preferably two), and coaches for grades 5th and 6th are expected to hold at least two 90-minute practices. Games will depend on tournament availability (e.g. last year most teams participated in at least 2 tournaments). Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, pass a background check, and attend a mandatory coaches meeting in early October.

- 32.4% (up from 21.6%) of students in 3-6 are compliant for the 2025-2026 school year.
- 7.0% (up from 3.6% )of students in 7-12 are compliant for the 2025-2026 school year.

State of the Schools Meeting
The Liberty Local School District invites the community to its State of the Schools meeting.

We are excited to announce that the Liberty Local School District will participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) for the 2025-2026 school year. What does this mean for you and your children attending the school(s) identified above? Great news! All enrolled students at Liberty Local School District will be eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no cost to their household throughout the 2025-2026 school year.
All students can participate in these meal programs without needing to complete a Free or Reduced meal application. However, our Leopard families who wish to apply for a waiver of all school fees must complete the Household Information Survey to determine their eligibility for services.
