Last week, our elementary students had a SUPER time taking part in the Super U! Challenge Assembly!
This high-energy, game show-style assembly got students from every grade level involved in fun challenges, silly activities and even a little slime — all while sharing an important message.
Students learned how their words and actions impact those around them and how each of them can help create a safe, welcoming and positive school community.
The challenge is simple: Be RESPECTFUL. Be RESPONSIBLE. Be KIND. And help make every school day SUPER! ⭐
Thank you to Super U! Challenge for bringing such a fun and meaningful experience to our students!

Liberty PK-6 Families,
We are kicking off our One School, One Book program with an opportunity for all students and families to vote for the title they would like to read together as a school community this year. Please take a moment to vote for your favorite title at https://tinyurl.com/LeopardOneBook

Check out the great time our fourth graders had during their trip to Kutcha Farms!

Before sending the butterflies on their journey, students learned about monarch migration and helped place special tags on the butterflies. These tiny tags allow researchers to learn more about their fall migration to Mexico.
Then came the best part — watching the monarchs take flight! 🦋
Thank you to Church Hill United Methodist Church for sharing this special experience with our students each year.

Good morning, Leopard families!
This morning, our district conducted an unannounced soft lockdown drill in cooperation with the Liberty Police Department. The district is happy to report that the drill was completed successfully, with no issues or concerns identified.
You may have noticed multiple police vehicles on campus during the drill. Please know that this was only a drill, and there was no emergency or threat to our students or staff.
Thank you to the Liberty Police Department, our staff, and students for their cooperation and commitment to keeping our schools safe.

Students read Coat of Many Colors, listened to the song, and talked about the special message behind the story.
They also had the chance to show off their creativity with a Dolly Parton coloring contest! 🖍️✨
Congratulations to Renesmee, who was selected as the second grade coloring contest winner! 🎉 Her colorful creation earned her a Handel’s gift card! 🍦👏
It was a great way to bring reading, music, and art together for a fun learning experience!

Check out these awesome sculptures created by our talented 6th graders! Students put their creativity and artistic skills to work to bring their ideas to life.

This afternoon, they delivered a generous donation of school supplies for our students. We are incredibly grateful for their continued support and commitment to giving back to Liberty Local Schools and our community.
Thank you for always supporting our Leopards!

Students practiced important safety procedures, including how to safely cross in front of the bus and how to stay alert when getting on and off.
A big thank you to our bus drivers for helping keep our students safe each and every day!

Please take a few minutes to complete your child’s FinalForms. These forms are essential to ensuring the district has accurate and up-to-date information for every student.
Even if you have already completed your forms for this school year, please log in and double-check them. A new transportation form was added at the beginning of the school year and must also be completed.
Complete your forms here: https://liberty-oh.finalforms.com/
Thank you for your prompt attention and cooperation!

Mrs. Mikovich is joining the Leopard family as our new PK–6 school nurse. She brings more than 17 years of nursing experience, including work in critical care and hospice nursing.
Mrs. Mikovich lives in Cortland with her husband, Mike—a proud Liberty graduate—their children, Ella and Max, and their dog, Pearl. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time outdoors and cheering on her children from the sidelines at their sporting events.
Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Mikovich to the Leopard family! 🐆💛❤️

Consistent school attendance is the foundation for student success! Even missing a few days a month can have a lasting impact on learning. Research shows that missing just two days a month can leave kids trailing in foundational learning and social skills.

Preschool Families,
We are having a First Day Celebration this Thursday at 9:15 AM. Please do not arrive until 9:15 as the late arrival will allow you to park without the congestion of the drop-off line. We will have donuts and a photo booth in the library, then we will wish the kids a great first day!
Please complete this form if you plan to attend: https://tinyurl.com/LibertyPK26
We look forward to seeing you on Thursday!
Thank you,
Ryan Stowell
P-2 Principal

Our 2nd-grade students are getting an up-close look at the butterfly life cycle!
As part of this special lesson each year, our friends from Churchill United Methodist Church brought in caterpillars that are already in their cocoons. Students will have the opportunity to watch as they transform into beautiful butterflies! 🌿
Once the butterflies are ready, our classes will head outside to release them and watch them begin their next adventure. 🦋
A big thank you to Churchill United Methodist Church for helping bring this hands-on learning experience to our students each year!

We’re excited to watch them learn, grow and make wonderful memories throughout the school year. Welcome to the Leopard family!

Last Thursday, some of our students and teachers had the opportunity to cheer on the Cleveland Browns! 🧡🤎
Tickets to the game were raffled off to students and staff members who signed the Stay in the Game! Attendance Network Pledge, showing their commitment to making attendance a priority.
Congratulations to our lucky winners, and we hope everyone had an awesome time at the game! 🏈🙌
