Liberty, OH — The Liberty Robotics Team 91445E, Attack of the Sentinels, proudly represented their school and community on the global stage this week at the VEX IQ World Robotics Competition in St. Louis, Missouri.
Competing against more than 400 teams from around the world, team members Jacob Lepsik, Christian Coggins, Vincent Ferrara, and Gabe Pekalla delivered an outstanding performance over three days of intense qualifying matches. The team earned a 19th-place ranking in their division, securing a spot in the Division Finals, where they ultimately finished 8th overall.
In addition to their success in match play, the team also demonstrated strong technical ability, finishing 90th in the Skills Challenge rankings among an elite field of competitors.
This marks the first time a Liberty Robotics team has advanced to the World Competition, making their achievement a historic milestone for the program. Their performance showcased not only their skill and preparation but also their dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship on an international stage.
