Superintendent's Message
As another summer comes to a close, I ask myself, how does time march on so quickly? I only need to look at the number for my next birthday and see the number increase as quickly as new school years accumulate. And, with the approaching new year comes many new faces to the Liberty family. As we welcome new administration and staff, we also say goodbye to those retiring or moving to new positions in new districts.
Many hours and days have been spent recruiting, interviewing, vetting, and hiring these new individuals. Replacing staff with quality individuals who will lead, instruct, transport, and support your children is school leaders' most critical task. We want to thank the Liberty School Board and Treasurer for supporting our recommendations for the new hires.
In addition to new staff, Liberty has undergone several changes to the campus, including a new roof, signage, building and room improvements, and thanks to Lena Esmail and Quickmed, a new track in our stadium. We are also tremendously grateful to the Cleveland Browns, who, through a new partnership, have generously donated new football helmets and foot gear to the entire team.
Liberty is a special place that is gaining more attention outside our community. The influx of new quality staff members and partners willing to invest in our students and campus is a testimony to how our Leopard community is growing.
I am tremendously grateful to serve the children and families of the Liberty community, and I look forward to seeing you soon as we begin the 2023-24 school year.
Respectfully,
Dr. Andy Tommelleo
Superintendent of Liberty School District
