Description:

This course is an elective in which students will learn the basic principles of the accounting cycle for a service business and a merchandising business both manually and electronically. The accounting procedures learned during the course will also serve as a sound background for employment in an entry-level office job and preparation for studying business courses in college. Students will be given the opportunity to learn how to use automated accounting software. Students apply the learned concepts through the completion of a real-world simulation project.
