Special Education Information

.....special Education is a service, not a placement.....

Liberty Local School District strives to make sure every child, especially exceptional ones, receives the free and appropriate public education they deserve.  Our intervention specialists are highly trained on academic and positive behavior techniques, to ensure the whole child is educated.

The following information is available to assist students who qualify for specially designed instruction:

FERPA: ODE Information

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act outlines what information can and can not be shared regarding student records.  The act outlines specifically the rights of parents on what records they want and do not want to share with their child's educational institution.

Preschool Education: ODE Information

Students who are between the ages of 3-5 years and have been identified as having a disability, can receive an education through Preschool special education programming.  At Liberty, we utilize the resources of the Trumbull County Educational Service Center to provide preschool programming for our children who qualify for services.

Help Me Grow: Official Website
