The state of Ohio defines a gifted student as one who “performs or shows potential for performing at remarkably high levels of accomplishment when compared to others of their age, experience, or environment."
Liberty Local Schools identifies students who are gifted in the following areas: Superior Cognitive, Specific Academic Area, Creative Thinking, and Visual and Performing Arts. Referral forms for giftedness are available on the link below. Parents or teachers may referral students for giftedness. The referral form may be downloaded and returned to the school counselor.
