Liberty Schools’ preschool program earns Step Up To Quality Five-Star rating

Step Up To Quality

Liberty Local Schools’ preschool program has once again earned the state’s highest distinction.

The Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services, which evaluate all state-funded Early Childhood Education (ECE) and Preschool Special Education (PSE) programs, awarded Liberty Local Schools’ preschool program the Step Up To Quality Five-Star rating.  Step Up To Quality recognizes and promotes learning and development programs that meet quality program standards that exceed licensing health and safety regulations.  The program standards are based on national research identifying standards which lead to improved outcomes for children.

Prior to the start of the 2018-2019 school year, Liberty Local Schools added a second preschool classroom to its program.  The program, which is led by two licensed teachers and five intervention assistants, provides transportation and full day instruction to 34 students, as well as breakfast, lunch and a snack.

Preschool applications for the 2019-2020 school year will be available for pick up beginning Monday, May 6, 2019, at the Blott Guy PK-6 office.
