Liberty Local Schools welcomes new interim superintendent Andrew Tommelleo

Greetings!

I am honored to be serving as the Interim Superintendent for the Liberty Local Schools. What an exciting and challenging time to step into this role. It is comforting to so quickly find a talented, committed, and most importantly, caring school community of administrators, teachers, and support staff. Our primary focus is to ensure the safe return of Liberty students and staff, and continue to provide high quality and engaging instruction for students through our blended learning options.

As we continue to move forward with our Liberty Reopening Plan, we must ensure that we are addressing the needs of ALL children. We will be committed to supporting the Ohio Department of Education’s position of Equity as Ohio’s greatest education challenge. Equity in education means each child has access to relevant and challenging academic experiences and educational resources necessary for success across race, gender, ethnicity, language, disability, family background and/or income.

Taking on the challenges of the 2020-2021 school year will require a collaborative spirit from all of us, including our schools, families, and community partners.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve the Liberty school community.

Respectfully,

Andrew J. Tommelleo, Ed.D

2020-2021 Reopening Plans Reopening Plans

Greetings Leopard Families!

We want to thank you for your patience and support of the Liberty Local School District during this unprecedented time. Additionally, thank you to all of the families who completed our reopening survey that was distributed in June.  With your feedback and the guidance from the Ohio Department of Education, CDC, the Trumbull County Board of Health and the Liberty staff, our district has established two options that will best support student needs and best ensure the safety and well-being of our community.  As our plan continues to unfold, we want you to know that we understand that this may be an uncertain, and maybe even stressful time for your family, but we are committed to being at your side throughout this entire process. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions and concerns. We will do our best to assist you in your decision making.

Thank you and Go Leopards!
